This piece seems particularly cogent as I post it today: Piqued that he's not getting his preposterous wall, Trump threatens a government shutdown and in the midst of that chaos, announces he's pulling our troops out of Syria, thus triggering the resignation of James Mattis, Secretary of Defense and arguably the most mature, knowledgeable, and responsible adult in the Trip administration.
They twist away our freedom and twist away our fate.
Fear is their weapon and treason is their cry.
But we can all stop them if we all try.
For our country is only as rich as the poorest of the poor,
Only as free as the padlocked jail door,
Only as strong as our love for this land,
Only as tall as we, INDIVISIBLE, can stand.
