Why I Admired John McCain
I am a Democrat but one who has voted for a number of Republicans also. I admired and respected John McCain although I also disagreed with him on a number of things.

I respected Senator McCain because:
       1) he was truthful
       2) he was respectful of others
3 )he believed in the power of love,  not the power of hate
       4) he believed in democracy, not autocracy
       5) he believed that it was important to vote his conscience
       6) he believed in the greatness of America
       7) he believed in bipartisanship and not blind loyalty to party
       8) he did not believe in torture for he had sustained it!
       9) he believed in service ahead of self
10)he believed that America was meant to be a beacon of hope
             for the world

We will miss you, John McCain, and hope that your life will inspire others to their higher purposes!
